News Updates for August 01-07, 2024

Don’t forget that the Summer Reading Program ends on Saturday, August 3rd. Before the Library closes on August 3rd, bring in any tri-fold pamphlets for the children’s age group to redeem their prizes, and teens and adults should turn in all book lists to ensure entry into the raffle for grand prizes. Thank you to everyone who participated this summer! It was wonderful to see so many of you reading and renewing with us.

Coffee Talk / Wednesday, August 7th, 9:00—10:00 a.m. Twice a month, seniors are welcome at the Library for a planned activity, coffee, and light refreshments in the company of other seniors in the community! Recommended Ages: Senior.

It’s that time of year again! School will be starting soon and we have many amazing books to help the kids with their AR points. There are plenty of useful cookbooks to help with lunch ideas and dinner ideas, too. And busy for parents can unwind with a night of reading from our selections.

We also lots of great new movies as well. Good Burger 2 would be a perfect film for family movie night! The duo is back and funnier than ever. Watch as they take on the task of saving the entire fast-food industry. The laughs are bigger and the antics are crazier. Grab the popcorn, or make a dessert from one of our many cookbooks and enjoy family movie night!

Our Town: Tolono / Friday, August 9th, 4:00—7:00 p.m. Join WCIA as they host festivities on Main Street in Tolono as they do a feature on the town. The Library will be setting up a storywalk out front and also serve as a place to cool off and sit down between all the fun activities outside. For more information about the Our Town event, contact Misty at the Village of Tolono.
