Kids Craft Time: Paper Roll Pet Birds / Thursday, September 14th, 3:30—5:30 p.m. Design a pet to go with the birdhouse you made during our last craft time! Recommended Ages: 6-11.
Teen Lounge / Thursday, September 14th, 6:00—7:00 p.m. Come and let us know what you’d like to see happen at the Library! Is there a craft you’d like? A game night you want to attend? Chat with us over pizza and video games about what you think the Library should have! Recommended Ages: 12-18.
Adult Craft N’ Chat: Autumn Leaf Luminaries / Friday, September 15th, 5:30—7:00 p.m. Give any room a soft glow with these luminaries made with autumn leaves. You can collect and bring your own leaves or choose from the ones we provide. Limited space. Register online or call the Library. Recommended Ages: 18+.
Playtime with Pets / Saturday, September 16, 12:00—3:30 p.m. Hospice Hearts Animal Rescue is coming to the Library with a lovable group of cats and dogs that are available for adoption! Meet the cats in our pop-up Cat Café, or pet and play with dogs in our backyard. We will have cat-and-dog-themed games, crafts, and puzzles, too. All Ages Welcome! To adopt a new family pet, the application for pre-approval can be found on Hospice Hearts Animal Rescue’s website, or click the links here for a DOG adoption or CAT adoption. Forms will be available at the event on Saturday, too. The rescue’s wish list of items needed to care for animals can be found HERE.
Outdoor Storytime / Tuesday, September 19th, 10:00—10:30 a.m. Come to the Library for a fun story time filled with stories, songs, and silly rhymes. If the weather is nice, the stories will be told in our backyard. Recommended Ages: 0-5.
Play Group with Friends / Tuesday, September 19th, 10:30—11:00 a.m. Bring your children for a playdate at the Library while you enjoy conversation with other parents and caregivers in the community. Recommended Ages: 0-5.
Coffee Talk / Wednesday, September 20th, 9:00—10:00 a.m. Twice a month, seniors are welcome to visit the Library for coffee and light refreshments in the company of other seniors in the community! Recommended Ages: Senior.
STEAMers: Macaroni Necklaces / Wednesday, September 20th, 10:30—11:00 a.m. Come put on your thinking cap at the Library for an activity that’s full of science, learning, and fun! This week, we are making macaroni necklaces and talking about how macaroni is made. Recommended Ages: 0-5.
LEGO® Club / Wednesday, September 20th, 3:30—5:00 p.m. Come build a creative LEGO® design at the Library! All materials will be provided, you just bring the imagination. Recommended Ages: 6-11.
Upcoming Programs
STEM Explorers: Oil Spill! / Thursday, September 21st, 4:00—5:30 p.m. There’s been an oil spill, and it’s up to you to rescue the waterbirds! Stop by the Library to try cleaning up an oil spill yourself and to experiment until you find the best ways how. We’ll also learn about absorbency and ways real-life scientists clean up oil spills. Recommended Ages: 6-11.
