The Page Turners Book Club will meet again for October! Join other readers at the Tolono Library to chat about a novel over light refreshments. No registration necessary. On October 7th we will be discussing “The Last Thing He Told Me” by Laura Dave. Call or stop by the Library to reserve your copy today. Recommended Ages: 18+.

Programs and Events This Week

STEM Explorers: Cardboard Fort Architects / Thursday, September 7th, 4:00—5:30 p.m. Stop by the Library to build a life-size fort with your friends using cardboard and blankets. We’ll talk about tricks that real-life architects use to keep their buildings standing up! Recommended Ages: 6-11.

Among Us in the Library / Friday, September 8th, 4:30—6:30 p.m. There’s an imposter in the Library! Come by the Library to play Among Us in real life. Complete all your tasks and find the imposter before they find you. Kids of all ages and their families welcome!

3D Printer Workshop / Saturday, September 9th, 12:00—1:00 p.m. The Tolono Library now has a 3D Printer! Come by the Library to learn about how to use it, tips and tricks for a successful print, and ideas about what to create. Recommended Ages: 8+.

The IDEA Zone / Saturday, September 9th, 1:00—4:00 p.m. Come to the Library and bring your designs to life in the IDEA Zone! We have a variety of materials, supplies, and equipment for you to use, including a Cricut, 3D Printer, sewing machine, button maker, and glue guns as well as fabric, paper, paint, and miscellaneous craft supplies. Use our materials or bring your own! A signed user agreement must be completed by the time of the event. A copy of this agreement can be found on our website [HERE] or by visiting the Library. Recommended Ages: 8+. Parental supervision required.

Outdoor Storytime / Tuesday, September 12th, 10:00—10:30 a.m. Come to the Library for a fun story time filled with stories, songs, and silly rhymes. If the weather is nice, the stories will be told in our backyard. Recommended Ages: 0-5.

Play Group with Friends / Tuesday, September 12th, 10:30—11:00 a.m. Bring your children for a playdate at the Library while you enjoy conversation with other parents and caregivers in the community. Recommended Ages: 0-5.

Chair Yoga / Tuesday, September 12th, 2:00—3:00 p.m. Come to the Library to enjoy gentle, non-strenuous yoga in a group setting. We will be primarily sitting in chairs, with some standing using the chairs for support, but all stretches performed can be adjusted to individual participants’ comfort and activity level. Recommended Ages: 18+.

Switch Crew / Wednesday, September 13th, 3:30—5:00 p.m. Stop by the Library after school to unwind and play popular Switch games with good company. While you wait your turn to play, we’ll have other activities for you to try out! Recommended Ages: 6-18.

Adult Craft N’ Chat: Autumn Leaf Luminaries / Friday, September 15th, 5:30—7:00 p.m. Give any room a soft glow with these luminaries made with autumn leaves. You can collect and bring your own leaves or choose from the ones we provide. Limited space. Register online or call the Library. Recommended Ages: 18+.
