News Updates for October 26-November 01, 2023

5th Annual Library Crawl is Wrapping Up

During the month of October, our patrons have been reporting back to us about the fun they have had on the Library Crawl. We hear some of you went as far as Danville, Arthur, and even Paris, Illinois. And the visitors we’ve received from other libraries have hailed from Mansfield, Saint Joseph, and Waterloo all the way down by St. Louis! The Illinois Heartland Library System has done great work in offering a variety of options for Illinois library users, and we’re happy to hear how much exploring everyone has been doing. For Tolono patrons, remember that if you have a minimum of five stamps in your Library Crawl passport, return your passport to the Library by Monday, November 6th and you will be entered into a drawing for a gift card! Thank you for being adventurous.

Event Spotlight

The Ballet Folklorico Mitotiani event on Saturday, October 14th was a splendid end to our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. The performers demonstrated their dancing talents, and then asked our patrons to follow along with the steps. We would like to thank Ballet Folklorico Mitotiani for sharing this special performance with the Tolono Public Library!
