These last few weeks of October bring with them a whole bunch of different programs for you to do at the library. Coming up on Thursday, October 22 is our Halloween Trivia from 5:30-7:00PM. Dare to test your knowledge of everything that goes bump in the night. From books to television to history, only the bravest will know them all. Prizes await the top three winners. Glory and extra points—go to all Halloween participants who arrive in costume. All ghosts and ghouls are welcome! On Saturday, October 24, we will host Bingo from 11:00-1:00. Please note that this event does require registration and may be cancelled if we do not have enough interest prior to the event. Also on Saturday is the first meeting of The Wandering Reader Book Club. This fantasy-based book club will wander to a different meeting place each month to discuss our fantasy novel of choice. This month, we will be meeting at Triptych in Savoy from 1:00-3:00 to discuss Moon Called by Patricia Briggs. On Tuesday, October 27, we are excited to host an A Court of Splintered Harmony release party. If you are as excited as we are for the release of Sara J. Maas’s newest installment in the ACOTAR series, join us from 5:30-7:30 this evening. Become a member of the Inner Circle for the evening but be sure to dress the part; there will be a costume contest! There will be themed fun and games, trivia, and give-a-ways. And don’t miss our themed mocktails and snacks. This event also asks that you preregister. Finally, Wednesday, October 28 will be our one and only Senior Fitness this month with Eddie Edwards from the YMCA.
