News Updates for November 16-22, 2023

The Library will be closed Thursday, November 23rd and Friday, the 24th for Thanksgiving.

New Furniture

The small study room is available again! Thank you for your patience as we renovated and updated the space. The archival materials of Unity High School yearbooks, backlogs of the County Star newspaper, Tolono Township records and maps, and all the old tomes have been re-homed and distributed throughout the community. Now there is space for a larger study table that seats five people and lets you power electronic devices with built-in charging ports. The room also features a new magnetic whiteboard for brainstorming and a mounted television that pairs with your personal devices for digital projects and presentations. We hope these technological updates are of greater use to our patrons. Please don’t hesitate to bring your next study group session to the Library and see the makeover. The room is used on a first come, first served basis, so drop in any time!

Displays

November is National Picture Book Month! The Library is celebrating by featuring Caldecott medal winners and honorees on our red wall display in the children’s area. Find old favorites and check out recent winning titles. We also have some award winners in Wonderbook format. Kids can follow along with the pages as the book reads to them. Come and find the stories you want to share as a family.
