News Updates for March 14-20, 2024

Election Day is Tuesday, March 19th. Did you know that the Tolono Public Library District is a voting location? Any Champaign County resident can come to the Library to vote! This year, early voting begins Monday, March 11th and runs through Monday, March 18th.

Early Voting Hours:

Monday through Friday: 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Saturdays: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Sundays: 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Coffee Talk / Wednesday, March 20th, 9:00—10:00 a.m. Twice a month, seniors are welcome to visit for coffee and light refreshments in the company of other seniors in the community! Recommended Ages: Senior.

STEAMers: Obstacle Course / Wednesday, March 20th, 10:30—11:00 a.m. Put on your thinking cap at the Library for an activity that’s full of science, learning, and fun! This week, we’re walking, crawling, and collaborating our way through a series of soft obstacles. Recommended Ages: 0-5.

Illinois Libraries Present: Ruth E. Carter: Interweaving Tradition & Imagination Through Costume Design (via Zoom) / Wednesday, March 20th, 7:00—8:00 p.m. Join us for a special event with Ruth E. Carter, two-time Academy Award-winning costume designer. She will be joined by Aisha Harris, co-host of NPR’s Pop Culture Happy Hour and author of Wannabe. Registration required.

Teen Lounge: Painting & Pin Buttons / Thursday, March 21st, 4:00—6:00 p.m. Choose from a variety of items to paint and decorate, or design pin-on buttons while you hang out with friends, chat, and enjoy pizza! Recommended Ages: 12-18.
