News Updates for June 20-26, 2024

Thank you to the Champaign County Forest Preserve District for bringing live reptiles to our Remarkable Reptiles program last Monday! We had a huge turnout, and kids got to meet a box turtle and a rat snake. So cool!

Children’s Storytime / Thursday, June 20th, 10:00—10:30 a.m. Come to the Library for a fun storytime filled with stories, songs, and silly rhymes. We will have special guest storyteller Sherri Harper and therapy dog, Cooper! Recommended Ages: 0-5.

Craft Supply Swap / Sunday, June 23rd, 1:00—3:00 p.m. Clear out your cubbies, closets, and cabinets and trade for craft supplies you’ll use! Starting Monday, June 17th, bring your gently used or like new craft supplies to the Library for a Craft Supply Swap. Anyone who donated items can enter the swap at 12:45 p.m. by showing the ticket they received when dropping off donations. Those who donate will receive one ticket per person. Supplies will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Kids’ Bingo Hour / Tuesday, June 25th, 10:00—11:00 a.m. Play this ever-popular game, earn prizes, and enjoy some great company at the Library! No registration necessary. Recommended Ages: 6-11.

Dessert Class / Friday, June 28th, 5:30—6:30 p.m. Join the Illinois Extension at the Library to learn how to cook healthy desserts for you and your family. Participants will make their own red, white, and blue parfaits to eat during the class. Please note that ingredients include dairy, strawberries, and blueberries. Limited space. Please register online or by calling the Library. Recommended Ages: 19+.
