Owls at the Library: Hooo Knows / Saturday, January 6th, 1:00—2:00 p.m. The Anita Purves Nature Center is bringing a fun, interactive program about owl biology to the Tolono Library! The program will include a live owl friend. Recommended Ages: 0-5.
Kids Take-Home Winter Crafts / January 7th—10th Come to the Library and pick up a kit for a winter-themed craft you can make at home! Kits are available first come, first served while supplies last. Recommended Ages: 0-11.
Plant Swap / Wednesday, January 10th, 5:30—6:30 p.m. It’s Houseplant Appreciation Day! Come to the Library to trade houseplants with your neighbors and pot fresh cuttings to take home. Recommended Ages: 19+.

Children’s Storytime / Thursday, January 11th, 10:00—10:30 a.m. Come to the Library for a fun story time filled with stories, songs, and silly rhymes. Recommended Ages: 0-5.
Play Group with Friends / Thursday, January 11th, 10:30—11:00 a.m. Bring your children for a playdate at the Library while you enjoy conversation with other parents and caregivers in the community. Recommended Ages: 0-5.
Illinois Libraries Present: Speculating our AI Future (via Zoom) / Thursday, January 11th, 7:00—8:00 p.m. Join us for a panel discussion featuring three bestselling science fiction writers, Cory Doctorow, Ken Liu, and Martha Wells. They will discuss the promise, perils, and possible impacts that AI will have on our future, as well as AI in contemporary and future science fiction writing. Registration required.
Jigsaw Puzzle Contest / Friday, January 12th, 5:30—7:00 p.m. Come celebrate National Puzzle Month at the Library by competing in teams to put together your puzzle the quickest! There will be four family teams and four adult teams. Limited space. Please register online or by calling the Library. All Ages Welcome!
