News Updates for December 21-27, 2023

The Library will be closed Sunday, December 24th through Tuesday, December 26th. We will reopen on Wednesday, December 27th.

Looking for something to do over the holiday break? The Library has jigsaw puzzles! For the next three weeks, find the Puzzle Swap Cart beside our front entrance. Borrow a puzzle and bring it back when you’re done, or bring one from home to swap out and someone else can enjoy it. No library card required. We will have the cart available until January 12 so if you want to share your puzzles, be sure to bring them in soon.

STEM Explorers: Glow in the Dark Slime / Thursday, December 21st, 4:00—5:30 p.m. Stop by the Library to make your own glow in the dark slime! We’ll also talk about polymers, non-Newtonian fluids, and the chemical processes occurring that allow your slime to glow. Recommended Ages: 6-11.

Kids Take-Home Winter Crafts / December 27th—31st Come to the Library and pick up a kit for a winter-themed craft you can make at home! Kits are available first come, first served while supplies last. Recommended Ages: 6-11.

Dust off your thinking caps in the new year and join us for some puzzling programs because January is National Puzzle Month! We will be celebrating with many puzzle-themed events, including a puzzle swap, a jigsaw puzzle contest, a Rube Goldberg Machine workshop, and an escape room. Stay tuned!
