Coffee Talk / Wednesday, December 6th, 9:00—10:00 a.m. Twice a month, seniors are welcome to visit for coffee and light refreshments in the company of other seniors in the community! This week, the talk is hosted at Tolono Historical Society where seniors can chat about Christmas memories. Recommended Ages: Senior.
STEAMers: Waterproofing / Wednesday, December 6th, 10:30—11:00 a.m. Come put on your thinking cap at the Library for an activity that’s full of science, learning, and fun! This week, we’re waterproofing LEGO® houses! Recommended Ages: 0-5.
LEGO® Club / Wednesday, December 6th, 3:30—5:00 p.m. Come build a creative LEGO® design at the Library! All materials will be provided, you just bring the imagination. Recommended Ages: 6-11.
Illinois Libraries Present: Surviving the Holidays with Lori Gottlieb (via Zoom) / Wednesday, December 6th, 7:00—8:00 p.m. Lori Gottlieb, New York Times bestselling author of Maybe You Should Talk to Someone, and co-host of the “Dear Therapists” podcast joins us for a thought-provoking conversation about mental health in anticipation of the winter holiday season. Registration required.
STEM Explorers: Borax Crystal Snowflakes / Thursday, December 7th, 4:00—5:30 p.m. Stop by the Library to design a shimmering snowflake! We’ll also talk about how real snowflakes form, and what chemical processes occur that allow borax to make such neat crystals! Recommended Ages: 6-11.
Animal Facts with Champaign Co. Humane Society / Friday, December 8th, 5:30—6:30 p.m. The Humane Society of Champaign County is coming to the Library for a presentation on fun facts about animals, how best to take care of your furry friends, and more! There will also be an animal ambassador present for everyone to meet at the end of the presentation. Recommended Ages: 6-11.
Model Trains at Tolono Public Library / Saturday—Sunday, December 9th—10th Stop by the Library anytime we’re open to check out a fantastic model railway display courtesy of the central Midwest Railway Club. All ages welcome.

Bilingual Spanish Storytime / Cuentos en Inglés y Español / Wednesday, December 13th, 2:30—3:00 p.m. Come to the Library for a fun story time filled with stories, songs, and silly rhymes! This story time is in both English and Spanish, but speakers of all languages are welcome! Recommended Ages: 0-5.
