News Updates for April 11-17, 2024

We’re playing Bingo! To celebrate National Library Week (4/7-4/13) for the month of April, stop by the Library and pick up a Bingo sheet at the front desk. Anyone who brings their card back by the end of the month with a successful Bingo can win a prize. All ages can play and win!

Children’s Storytime / Thursday, April 11th, 10:00—10:30 a.m. Come to the Library for a fun storytime filled with stories, songs, and silly rhymes. Recommended Ages: 0-5.

Adult Take-Home Crafts / Monday, April 15th Stop in at the Library to pick up a craft that you can make at home! Kits are available first come, first served while supplies last. Recommended Ages: 19+.

Coffee Talk / Wednesday, April 17th, 9:00—10:00 a.m. Twice a month, seniors are welcome to visit for coffee and light refreshments in the company of other seniors in the community! Recommended Ages: Senior.

LEGO® Club / Wednesday, April 17th, 3:30—5:30 p.m. Come build a creative LEGO® design at the Library! All materials will be provided, you just bring the imagination. Recommended Ages: 6-11.

Adult Craft N’ Chat: Drink Coasters / Friday, April 19th, 5:00—7:00 p.m. Spend an evening at the Library upcycling old CDs into a set of drink coasters. Limited Space. Please register by calling the Library. Recommended Ages: 19+.

Teddy Bear Hospital / Saturday, April 20th, 12:00—2:00 p.m. The U of I Veterinary Student Outreach Program will be hosting a Teddy Bear Hospital where children will become “honorary veterinarians” by treating their favorite stuffed animals from home. Get ready to try on scrubs, do a physical exam on your furry friend, and more! Once children have completed the clinic, they will be presented with a certificate. Please bring one stuffed animal per child. Recommended Ages: 0-12.
