Code of Conduct

  1. Engaging in loud conversation or rowdy behavior or using offensive, threatening, harassing, or abusive language or gestures to patrons or employees is prohibited.
  2. Engaging in illegal activity while in the library or on library property is prohibited.
  3. Damaging or misusing materials, equipment, or library-owned property is prohibited.
  4. Selling products or services and/or soliciting donations are not permitted on library property except as authorized by the library director or designee.
  5. Possessing or consuming alcohol or drugs on library property is prohibited.
  6. Food is not permitted. Beverages are allowed only in covered or lidded containers.
  7. Smoking, electronic cigarette devices, and tobacco use are not permitted within the library or within 15 feet of any public entrance.
  8. The library is not responsible for personal belongings.
  9. Loitering at entrances, in lobbies, walkways, restrooms, the parking lot, or other non-study areas is prohibited.
  10. Shirts and shoes are required for health reasons and must be worn at all times; for security reasons, garments used to obscure facial features or conceal one’s identity intentionally are not permitted.
