News Updates for June 11-17, 2026

The Summer Reading Challenge is underway at the library, but you can still sign up to track your reading minutes and win prizes along the way! The Challenge is open to ALL AGES and we have grand prizes for three different age groups: kids, teens, and adults. You can sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge through the Beanstack app or by using the link on our website: www.tolonolibrary.org/srp.

Spend your Saturday with the library! This Saturday, June 13, we will kick off our Summer Saturdays at the Park series at Hartman Park in Pesotum from 11:00-1:00. Summer Saturday at the Park is a unique chance to chat with library staff and gather information about events, programs, and resources.  Kids can spin our prize wheel to win some fun prizes, including a free book! A sweet treat and yard games will also be available for all who stop by and say hi!

After you stop by the park, adults can head to the library for an Adult Paint Class with resident artist and clerk, Megan! This month they will be painting “Summer Sunsets.” But don’t forget to register for this program ahead of time! Space and supplies are limited.  You can register online or by calling the library to reserve your spot.

If your Saturdays are full and you’re looking for something to do during the week, don’t forget about Story Time happening every Friday from 10:00-10:30 for ages 0-5.  This week, also on Friday from 3:30-4:30, we have the Youth Tinker Club for kids who want to explore their creative abilities. Babies and expectant moms are also invited to Crisis Nursery’s “Cuddle and Connect” program on Tuesday from 4:00-5:00. And don’t forget our Senior Coffee Talk from 9:00-10:00 this Wednesday. For more information on all of our upcoming programs visit our website or find us on Facebook or Instagram.
