Walk-Through Reopening – Beginning July 8, 2020

Walk-Through Reopening

In conjunction with Central Illinois moving to Phase 4
of COVID-19 reopening, the Library will begin a
Walk-Through Reopening on July 8th.

  • We are excited to have our doors open again!
  • Special Limited Hours: We will have a dedicated hour of 9 to 10 am. Monday-Friday for patrons who are considered at-risk of coronavirus complications (seniors and those with underlying health problems).  The library will be closed from 10am to 12pm daily.
  • General Public Hours: 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm weekdays, and 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm Sat/Sun
  • Curbside Hours: 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm weekdays, and 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm Saturday/Sunday
  • All staff and patrons (over the age of 2) are required to enter the building wearing masks covering nose and mouth if medically able. Patrons unable to follow that requirement will be given a Request for Accommodation form containing information on curbside pick up.
  • Hand sanitizing stations will be set up for patron use when entering and exiting the building.
  • Patrons may enter the building to pick up holds, select materials, use the computers on a limited basis by appointment, copy, fax, and request notary services. We ask that patrons enter the building, find what they need, with limited time, as we are restricted to the number of people we are allowed to have in the building. Please limit the items you bring in to essentials.  No Food or Drink will be allowed in the building.
  • On July 1st, patrons will be able to place requests for interlibrary loan materials. Patrons will also begin receiving text & email notifications from the SHARE system. To utilize the curbside service, you must call ahead and schedule a pickup time.
  • All book drop locations are open.
  • We continue to offer virtual programming at this time.
  • The meeting room and study rooms remain unavailable.
  • We are unable to accept donations.
