Playaway Lock
Introducing Tolono Public Library’s newest library item – Playaway Lock! This is a circulating mobile eReader device that comes pre-loaded with numerous books, complete with its own charger. Playaway Lock will be checked out to patrons for a three-week loan period. These eReaders are easy to use, but if you are not tech savvy never fear. Tolono Public Library staff will be happy to walk you through the steps to get you reading on this user-friendly device. Playaway Locks are located in the Adult Section on the east side of the library.
eBooks and More
If you have a mobile device or smartphone, your Tolono Public Library card will grant you access to free eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines. Three different platforms are available to use via PC or App. Most mobile devices are compatible with these resources. Cloud Library provides thousands of eBooks and eAudiobooks; My Media Mall delivers eBooks and eAudiobooks. Moreover, RB Digital offers access to countless eMagazines and eAudiobooks.
Technology Assistance
One-on-one technology assistance is offered over the phone or in person by the library’s Technology Coordinator. Information on the variety of electronic resources can also be provided by any of the library’s staff members. Brochures with helpful tips are available in the library as well.
