Hold Requests, Renewals, & Searching

The Tolono Public Library District offers a diverse collection, including fiction, non-fiction, periodicals, and reference materials as well as audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, and video games.

Many materials may be renewed up to two times, unless another patron has requested the item. You can renew your items by:

WorldCat Requests

If you cannot find an item you are looking for in the SHARE system, the Library will try to find and request the item through WorldCat. Please contact Helen Neal at or by call the Library at (217) 485-5558 on Monday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. if you would like to make a request.

Copies & Fax

The Library has a copy machine that is available for public use. Copies are $0.15 for black and white and $.50 for color per page. A fax machine is also available to send and receive faxes at (217) 485-3088. Fax charges are $1.00 per page to send and $0.50 per page to receive.

Notary Services

The Library offers Notary Public service at no charge. This service is available Monday through Friday. Please call the Library at (217) 485-5558 to set up an appointment. Please bring valid photo ID, and remember that documents to be notarized must be signed in front of the Notary (do not sign them beforehand). All persons signing the document(s) must be present. You do not need to be a Tolono Public Library patron to use this service.

The Library offers seven computers (plus a reference computer) for internet/email use to the patrons in fifteen minute increments for up to 1 hour of use per day. Patrons may print black and white copies for $0.15 or color copies for $.50 per page. Free WiFi is also available, just ask for the password at the front desk.

These eNewsletters offer our readers advisory service on books, authors and what’s happening at the library.
